the standard knot

the simple Windsor knot

the double Windsor knot

course 1: concertina - refined
Fold the neckerchief triangularly (in a triangular shape) and press at the front, bending it inwards and wide. This allows it to change slightly. I place my neckerchief triangularly, and with some careful handling I fold it from the bottom edge outwards as a fan (fan-shaped) or a folded paper napkin or as a concertina.
I place the folded neckerchief around my neck and fasten it from behind on the nape of the neck with basic knots.
The folds are bound in knots and keep their form. Now the closely-woven neckerchief looks pleasant and nice around the neck with the folds in place.
course 2: looped fabric – vivacious/lively

...Fold the shawl like a tie.
...Take one end roughly 14cm doubled
...Tie a knot in the doubled end
...This creates a looped shawl. In one corner or at one end make a loose knot.
...Push the other end through the knot.
...Pull the knots tightly.
